Tim Day
Raised on the suburban mean streets of Oklahoma City, Tim moved to Boston in 1985 to attend MIT. After graduating with an aeronautical engineering degree, he auditioned for the band which would become Signs of Life. As lead singer and chief hair-flipper, he sang the many styles of music this versatile band played all over the Northeast US. After SOL, he worked with Andy Schulz in 2000 to co-write and produce the album “Stir” by Radial Bliss. Mark Yurkovic (Shecky) also contributed music to this record, and all the while Tim was singing background vocals for some Shecky project Mark kept yammering about.
In 2007 Tim joined a hard rock band called The Big Heavy led by guitarists Dan Perlman and Ben Slattery. Together they produced an EP called Bombs Away that can be found on Spotify.
These days, any time Signs of Life, Shecky and the Pimp Monkeys, or Radio Musikola (an 80s cover mega-band) calls him to perform, he cranks up the front man charisma to 11 and belts out the tunes with all necessary fervor.
