Jim has been the Executive Director of Passim since September 2015, following a two-year tenure on its board as clerk. His professional background includes roles as Business Manager for various startups in the Boston area, most notably for the international news website GlobalPost.com and its non-profit spinoff, The GroundTruth Project. Jim also contributed to the growth and venture funding of Sonicbids, an online music marketplace, and was a founding partner of New England Streaming Media and its internet radio station, RadioBoston.com. 

An avid musician, Jim was a founding member of the Americana band The Courage Brothers, which released two CDs in the early 1990s. He continues to perform with local groups such as The Loomers and The Blood Mountain Brothers.
